Filling material:

The filling material used for Anh&Em Feather bedding is feathers and down from water birds (ducks, goose).

What is down?

Down is the undercoating of waterfowl (goose, duck or swan), consisting of light, fluffy filaments (down fibers) "radiating" to all from a point. Down is a three dimensional cluster with thousands of tiny fibers, but no quill. Such structure holds the air and thus temperature. The properties of down which make it so popular are: it's very light in weight, it's flexible, it breaths, and, most important, it's pure natural, thus down used for conforters and quilts.

What is feather?

A feathers is the horny structures which form the outer body covering of birds and consist of a quill point, quill shaft, vanes. Smaller feathers are often used in bedding products such as feather beds, decorative pillows, and various feather and down blends. In bedding, feathers do provide some insulation, but are mostly used for support.

Feather and down blends combine the soft resilience of down with the firm support and durability of feathers.

Depending on the softness and/or firmness of feather bedding required, a feather and down blend is made up to the request. Anh&Em Feather Bedding offers 04 grades of filling material available:

Here are some tips on caring for and maintaining your Feather Bedding and ensuring them last for many years with sactisfactory:

  • Gently shake your new feather bedding and air it out for a few hours to allow the feathers to fluff up.

  • Use a cover: If used with a duvet cover, your feather bedding will only need to be cleaned by dry laundry every three to five years. However, pillow should covered with a pillow protector in addition to a decorative pillow case.

  • Fluff your feather bedding when you make your bed: by providing a steady flow of air, your feather bedding will continue to loft.

  • Redistribute your feather bedding as needed: If your feather distribution becomes uneven, simply redistribute the fill by placing the feather bedding on a flat surface and pushing the feathers to the desired location. To push the feathers, use the palm of your hand and your forearm.

  • When not used, store them in a breathable bag (cotton bag) allow the product to breath. Do not store in plastic bag that will trap moisture in with the products, causing them to mildrew or to decompose.
